LEWISTON, New York — Looking for a fun event to attend?

The Niagara County Peach Festival is here.

At the festival there will be lots to do, eat, and explore. The festival will be located in Lewiston on the Academy Park grounds surrounded by Canter Street, Portage Road, and Cayuga Street.

Mark Briglio, Peach Fest Chairman, said that he and the rest of the Kiwanis club work on this festival year round.

"I do a lot of work in advance with a lot of other Kiwanians so just to get it up and see the park develop and everything start to fill in I look forward to that opening night tonight, that's what I look forward to," Briglio said in advance of the start of the festival.

The festival also serves as a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club.

"We've been doing this since 1958, We've raised over 1.7 million dollars and We've put that all back into the community," Briglio said.

Festival organizers advise that those attending pay close attention to signage and traffic throughout festival days. To learn more about getting to the event and parking click here. Dogs are not allowed at Academy Park during the festival.
