BUFFALO, N.Y. — Jordyn's Light is a new nonprofit organization located in Buffalo that seeks to support families after pregnancy or child loss. In August, they are hosting their first event, a Family Fun Day & Raffle Extravaganza.

Established in memory of her daughter, Angela Jessie aims to provide services and resources as a way of coping with her own grief. She strives to help families through supportive care packages, art and healing workshops, memorial events, financial assistance, and more.

"My aspiration is to establish a nurturing environment where we can gather, share our emotions, find solace, and access the necessary tools for coping," Jessie said.

On Aug. 31, the first event is happening from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DFK Pavilion in Tonawanda. They are currently looking for vendors, event sponsors, donations, and volunteers. To be a part of this exciting day, learn more here.

"We are thrilled to announce our inaugural event the upcoming Jordyn’s Light Family Fun Day and Raffle Extravaganza, a heartwarming event designed to bring our community together in support of families coping with pregnancy and infant loss," they shared. "This special day will be filled with activities, entertainment, and a spectacular raffle, all aimed at raising funds to support the vital work of Jordyn’s Light."

Companies have already contributed to the variety of raffle prizes to win in August! Some baskets include a Rolly Pollies gift card, Irish Classical Theatre Company tickets, West Herr items, and a breakfast sandwich maker.

"Together we find light in the darkness. Join us on journey of healing and remembrance."
