DUNKIRK, N.Y. — Summer in Western New York is fair season. Today kicked off the opening day for the Chautauqua County Fair. It will run from Tuesday, July 16 to Sunday, July 21.
The fair features midway rides by Amusements of America, animal exhibits, fair food, and many grandstand events like tractor pulls happening each night.
Tuesday night is the demolition derby at 7 p.m. There will also be a junior demo derby on Wednesday, July 17 at 3 p.m.
There are two new events at this years fair. Globe of Death Squad is a motorcycle show and Aim High Canines Stunt Dog Show will showcase dogs' dancing, frisbee and agility skills.

Chautauqua County Fair gate admission costs $15.00 for ages 4-years-old and older and $9.00 for anyone 62-years-old and older.
