BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hello everyone. This is Festival Fest: the thing I do where I talk about things to do in WNY.
Welcome to the holiday season. Today, I’m talking about events happening on and around the weekend of Dec. 14th and 15th.
I get asked a lot: how do I get my event on Festival fest? Is it too late to get my event on Festival Fest?
Here is what I say: use our email: festivalfest@wgrz.com. If you can give me two weeks notice? Great. If you can give me a week notice, great. But if you send me an email over the weekend before the Monday the Festival Fest is scheduled to air, you are going to be very disappointed.
It’s all about information and learning. All right. So let’s get into it.
Today we are starting in Kenmore where they are having their Sip stop and sit, ship and shop, sit, stop.
Hang on. Stop, ship, slip, shop and slide, slop and slip…. Stop Sip and Shop the Blocks. So, that’s happening. Whoever came up with that… is trouble.
For the nosy among us, we have the Clymer Holiday Home Tour. You’re not on the home tour if you have a mysterious tree hole.
There are a lot of events that benefit organizations and are a great way to find unique gifts. Take a look:
Old World Christmas Market in Buffalo, Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo's 11th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Sale, Old First Ward basket raffle Dec. 13th, St. Mary of the Lake Famous Flea Market.
If you’re looking for that Hallmark Christmas village experience you’ve got the Christmas in the Village in Youngstown.
I swear this is a complete coincidence but St. Peter’s Annual Cookie Sale also includes my Christmas list on the flyer – candies nutbread. CASH ONLY.
There’s also a 2019 Holiday season Chess Tournament at the Buffalo Seminary. Your Move.
And you can Fa, la, la, deck the halls, jingle your bells, have a silent night, a slight ride at the Christmas Concert with the American legion band of the Tonawandas.
That’s Festival Fest. The greatest thing to happen to Monday since the three-day weekend. Have a great day and a great week. Get out there are support your local organizations and I’ll see you next time. Happy Holidaaaaays!
