BUFFALO, N.Y. — Paul Hare works as a weather forecaster at WGRZ-TV, primarily covering weekend weather duties since October 2023.
Paul also provides on-air traffic reports weekdays on WGRZ-TV for Most Buffalo and Channel 2 News First at Five, as well as during major weather events. Paul started reporting traffic on Channel 2 in November 2013. Since the weather in Western New York regularly impacts the commute, Paul has also contributed to past Storm Team 2 coverage, most recently during the Blizzard of December 2022, and most notably during "Snowvember" in November 2014.
Paul currently serves on the board of directors for the Buffalo Broadcasters Association.
While Paul is extremely passionate about broadcasting, he is also passionate about teaching. Paul has worked as a high school math teacher at Amherst Central High School since 2008. Go Tigers!
Paul grew up in Amherst and is a proud graduate of Sweet Home High School (Go Panthers!), Canisius College, and UB. Aside from TV news and teaching, Paul likes traveling all over (warm places only!), concerts, festivals, musical theatre, photography, videography, fitness, bowling, kickball, softball, cats, Star Trek, game shows, the Bills, amusement parks, and the color orange!
Paul is currently working towards his Broadcast & Operational Meteorology Certification through Mississippi State University.
