BUFFALO, N.Y. — Jon Scott is joining WGRZ, 2 On Your Side as the station’s new Sports Director.
“There is a long-standing tradition of excellence at WGRZ,” Scott said. “I’m incredibly honored and excited to lead the sports department and continue building on the strong coverage that’s been a constant for so long in Western New York.”
Scott, who worked at Spectrum News since 2014, was the creator of "Buffalo End Zone" postgame show and co-hosted a podcast by the same name. Prior to his arrival in Western New York, Jon worked in various television markets in Ohio.
“I have been a big fan of Jon Scott's sports journalism for some time now,” said WGRZ News Director Jeremy Settle. “His positive attitude and desire to bring Western New York the best sports coverage makes him a natural fit to lead our sports team.”
