BUFFALO, N.Y. -- If you were alive and living in Western New York in 1977, then you no doubt remember the famous blizzard that hit, now 40 years ago.
What you may not remember, are the extreme conditions that led up to the devastating storm that began on January 28, 1977. Most of the storm's effects had little to do with the snow falling during the blizzard.
