It's been a tough year for Bills running back LeSean McCoy. He has not put up the numbers he's used to in his career.
Heading into Sunday's season finale against the Dolphins, McCoy has just 488 rushing yards. That's 695 rushing yards less than he ended with in 2017. McCoy also has just two touchdowns on the year.
But on Wednesday, head coach Sean McDermott said McCoy is staying put. He reiterated his commitment to McCoy saying he expects him back and he is in their plans for 2019.
"Overall I'm really excited about where we're going and LeSean [McCoy] being a part of that. I know this year wasn't what he had hoped it would be and the biggest thing I want to see is what are we going to do to get it back to where it needs to be and I think he's committed to that cause as are we," McDermott explained.
McCoy sat out the first play of Sunday's game at New England because of what he called a "situation" with McDermott. McCoy wouldn't go into what exactly happened and neither would McDermott on Wednesday.
"Yeah that's between LeSean and myself. I appreciate him being accountable, I really do and we've moved on and that's where we're headed," McDermott said.
McCoy will enter the final year of his contract with the Bills in 2019.
