BUFFALO, NY — There are new mascots on the block to replace fan favorite Celery.
Carrot and Beef on Week will be the ones called on to fill the shoes of Celery.
The Bisons introduced Carrot to be Celery's replacement in the middle of the fourth of the Bisons' home opener on Thursday. But out of nowhere, Beef on Weck emerged to win the first race if the season.
Carrot and Beef on Weck will compete against Chicken Wing, Bleu Cheese and Atomic in the popular WCC Race.
Celery retired last season after snapping its 449-race losing streak.
