BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo alongside the Department of Public Works, Division of Parks and Recreation, and the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy announced rules for those to follow if viewing the solar eclipse at certain locations, and parks in Buffalo.
Mayor Byron W. Brown said, “The total solar eclipse in Buffalo is coming up quickly and we continue to ask City residents and visitors to take this rare celestial event seriously. Plan ahead if you haven’t already. Follow the rules. And be patient and prepared. With Buffalo so uniquely positioned to view the eclipse, people from around the country will be flocking here to see it for themselves. Public safety is our top priority. I thank the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy for collaborating with us to ensure this event will be a safe and enjoyable experience for all.”
