LOCKPORT, N.Y. - A woman who admitted she was responsible for a string of fires that set a North Tonawanda neighborhood on edge is heading to prison for the crimes.
A Niagara County court judge Friday morning sentenced Michelle Johnston to a dozen years behind bars.
Johnston pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted arson last month. She was arrested last July and charged with setting nine fires on Fifth Avenue. Just days later, she was arrested again and charged with setting two more fires.
