Roswell Park: Donations spike after Pancho Billa's death

Roswell Park tweeted Tuesday night that donations were pouring in following the death of Buffalo's beloved superfan.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Fans have been sending donations in Ezra Castro's memory to Roswell Park in hopes that they can help save someone else from the pain that the Bills superfan went through.

"We'll use this for further in the clinical trials that are here to fight both the cause or the cure of cancer," said Roswell Park Alliance Chair, Jim Newman. "And as I said, the spontaneity of this gift and outreach is amazing."

Also sharing some positive news was BillsMafia founder Del Reid, who tweeted a screen grab from someone whom he called a former co-worker at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

"We are getting a lot of memorial donations today in honor of Pancho. From all over the country," read the text in the screen grab.
