ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- All of the trails at a popular Western New York park have closed due to tornado damage, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced Friday.
Poloncarz said all of the trails at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, including the Eternal Flame trail, have closed until further notice.
Poloncarz also said the lower western end of the park is closed to the public due to storm destruction.
The National Weather Service has confirmed three tornadoes passed through Western New York Thursday: two in Erie County and one in Allegany County. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
