BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Zoo is now opening up a public campaign to help fund the renovations of its amphibian and reptile center.
Upgrades include a new roof, more than 30 interactive exhibits, and new ventilation systems. The building was built back in 1942 so it's in great need of some major upgrades.
"Things have changed tremendously in 74 years, in terms of husbandry standards, the technology available to have individual climate control. There's lead paint in a lot of the areas that need to be abated," said Zoo President Donna Fernandes.
So far, the zoo has raised $2 million. You can donate by heading to their website.
