BUFFALO, N.Y. — Annual fall leaf collections will be happening now until mid-December in the City of Buffalo. Collections are an effort to keep streets and storm drains clean and clear in neighborhoods citywide.
The collection offers residents two ways to dispose of leaves:
- Curbside pickup
- Residential drop-off
The quickest way to dispose of leaves is curbside, and these are the details on the best way to do so
- Leaves, grass, brush and small branches must be placed in clear or paper bags
- Place bags curbside and city crews will do the rest
- There is no limit to the number of bags that can go out to the curb
- Do not rake leaves into streets. A summons may be written
People who prefer the drop-off method can take their leaves to Geiter Done of WNY on Babcock Street, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. Those doing drop off must sign in and show proof of their City of Buffalo Residency.
