BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Albright-Knox Art Gallery is getting a huge boost, courtesy $500,000 in federal grants.
The money will go toward the massive renovation of the historic Elmwood Avenue museum. Only a few dozen organizations nationwide received these federal funds.
"These federal awards are highly highly competitive and recognize the national significance of the work that's being done under this great team and this great leader at Albright-Knox," U.S. Rep. Brian Higgins said.
The announcement was made at the Northland campus, which will be the home of the museum until 2022, when the renovation of the Elmwood campus is complete.
