WARSAW, N.Y. — The Village and Town of Warsaw Water Districts are currently under a Boil Water and Conservation Order as of Saturday. The order will remain in effect until further notice.
Officials said early Saturday morning, the water system lost pressure after a water main break resulting in the storage tank being drained.
The major break has been located and is being isolated, according to officials. Crews are currently using necessary equipment and materials needed to make the repair.
Wyoming County officials released the following in a statement:
"When water mains lose pressure, it increases the chance that untreated water and harmful microbes can enter your water.
"So that the water tank can more quickly fill, we are asking you to conserve water until further notice.
"Please boil and conserve water until further notice. You will be informed when water sampling tests show that you no longer need to boil your water."
