WEST SENECA, N.Y. — The Erie County Sheriff's Office Narcotics & Intelligence Unit, alongside the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, made an arrest of a 46-year-old West Seneca man on Friday.
John Whitaker had multiple bench warrants and had been taken into custody without incident.
Whitaker had been found at 81 Indian Church Road, where officers found a loaded silver Western Arms Co. Revolver, a digital scale with residue on it, and approximately 18 grams of suspected cocaine.
Whitaker was transported to the Erie County Holding Center for processing and charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug w/Intent to sell, a Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance/Narcotic Drug, a Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree/Loaded Firearm, a Class C Felony
- Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor
He had been remanded for four felony warrants, and one misdemeanor warrant. All ranging for narcotics and firearm possession to burglary and assault.
A search of the New York State electric court filing system did not show any future court dates for Whitaker.
