NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - Niagara Falls police are investigating the death of a woman whose dismembered body was found inside of a home.
Police identified the victim as 46-year-old Terri Lynn Bills. She was a Niagara Falls resident.
Police were called to the Willow Avenue home around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after a neighbor contacted them. They discovered the body shortly after arriving.
Investigators say the head, arms and feet had been removed from the body. Those body parts were not at the scene. Police say the body was placed in the home after the crime
Police say this homicide appears to be similar to the Loretta Gates case from 2012, but it is too early in the investigation to say if there is a connection. Gates was killed at an unknown location and her body was dismembered. Parts of her body were found in both the Niagara River and Hyde Park.
