WHEATFIELD, N.Y. — Four teenage boys have been arrested after police chase in Wheatfield Saturday morning involving a stolen car, according to Niagara County Sherriff's Office.
According to authorities, at 4:25 a.m. officials saw a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Schultz Road and refuse to pull over. The car eventually hit a stop sign at Schultz and Moyer Roads, according to officials.
Officials said the car fled southbound on Shawnee Road and went to Erie Avenue in North Tonawanda. The car crossed over the Division and Twin Cities Memorial Highway and continued onto railroad tracks.
The car later lost control and drove into landscaping and became stuck at 525 Wheatfield Street, according to authorities.
Officials said six people fled from the car on foot and four of them were later detained by patrol units.
The car was reported stolen on Dec. 13. out of Grand Island.
Police said the teens were all identified as males and charged with the following:
- felony for criminal possession of stolen property
- misdemeanor for obstruction of governments administration
- misdemeanor unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle
- numerous vehicle and traffic citations
The teenagers were released on appearance tickets to their parents. They are due to appear in Niagara County Youth Part Court at a later date.
