BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man is accused of stealing more than $25,000 from a business in Schenectady.
Devin Williams, 42, of Buffalo faces a third-degree grand larceny charge, according to New York State Police. He was arrested on Wednesday.
A search of the New York State electric court filing system showed that Williams is scheduled to appear in Schenectady City Court on Dec. 19. Williams has a defense attorney.
The charge stems from a March 22, 2023, complaint from a Schenectady business reporting possible theft.
"The investigation determined that while employed by the company, Williams allegedly utilized the company’s corporate credit card from October 2022 until December 2022 to make numerous unauthorized purchases for his personal gain," state police said in a news release.
Williams was arrested at his Buffalo home. He was taken to the state police station in Princetown for processing before going to Schenectady County Correctional Facility while waiting to be arraigned.
