The SUNY board of trustees voted to raise SUNY tuition by $200 starting this fall.
The Gannett Albany Bureau reported that tuition next year will be 63 percent higher than it was 10 years ago.
According to SUNY, even with the increase in tuition, SUNY schools are cheaper than 28 other state colleges.
