Journey, Pretenders to headline Darien Lake concert in July

Tickets range in price from $35 to $149.50 for the tour, which includes more than 60 dates nationwide.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — While the summer concert season recently wrapped up, announcements for the 2020 season continue to roll in.

On Thursday, Darien Lake announced that Journey and the Pretenders will headline a 7 p.m. concert on July 18.

The Journey lineup includes Neal Schon (lead guitarist), Ross Valory (bassist), Jonathan Cain (keyboardist), Steve Smith (drummer), and Arnel Pineda (lead singer). The band scores a long list on hits in the '80s, including "Don’t Stop Believin'," whose popularity only continued to grow through the years.

The Pretenders, led by founder Chrissie Hynde, have sold more than 25 million albums with songs such as "I'll Stand By You," "Back On The Chain Gang," and "Don't Get Me Wrong."

American Express card members can purchase tickets for some shows starting at 10 a.m. Monday, and other local presales will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday. All remaining tickets will then go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 8.
