ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — "Mr. Brightside" is no stranger to sporting events.
Much like "Sweet Caroline" and "Don’t Stop Believin'," and "Take Me Home, Country Roads," sports fans are now loudly and enthusiastically singing along to the 2003 smash hit by The Killers around the globe, whether it's at a Michigan Wolverines football game or a European soccer match.
You can add the Buffalo Bills to that list now, after an on-field moment went viral during their 47-10 home victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night.
Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, Spencer Brown, Mack Hollins, and James Cook all got wrapped up in the song, and fans took notice. So did their quarterback, Josh Allen.
"You feel the love in the locker room, but you feel it on the field as well," Allen said Wednesday. "I know there's all those clips of us singing 'Mr. Brightside' going around right now, but that's the vibe of this locker room right now.
"We just got a lot of love for each other, and we're just trying to find ways to play football the right way."
"Mr. Brightside" was released as a single on Sept. 29, 2003.
Bills fans who are hoping to join in the next potential "Mr. Brightside" sing-along will have to wait some time, though. Buffalo will be on the road in each of its next three games: At Baltimore in Week 4, at Houston in Week 5, and at New York to play the Jets in Week 6.
This week's game against the Ravens will be on Sunday Night Football on NBC and Channel 2. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 8:20 p.m.
