ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — On Monday night NFL insider Adam Schefter shared that former Chiefs and Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was in Buffalo to meet with the team about potentially signing a contract. According to Schefter, Valdes-Scantling also had recently visited the Chargers.

But it seems as though Valdes-Scantling might have sealed the deal after his Buffalo visit Tuesday morning.

Another NFL insider Ian Rapoport tweeted "After signing Curtis Samuel in free agency and drafting Keon Coleman with their first pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, the #Bills aren’t done in their WR room. MVS coming aboard."

The Buffalo Bills confirmed the deal after the insider news came out on Tuesday morning as of 9:15 a.m. In a social media post they captioned it "MVS to the 716".

Schefter added to the speculation Tuesday morning tweeting "Bills are giving former Chiefs WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million, including a $1.125 million signing bonus, per source."

In the Bills official confirmation, they shared that the wide receiver was signed to a 1-year deal.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling also referred to as 'MVS' was first drafted in 2018 in the fifth round by the Green Bay Packers where he played until joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.

The Bills wrote in an article posted to their website "The WR has earned two Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs. He also caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in their LVIII win against the 49ers."
