BUFFALO, NY — Buffalo's VA Medical Center has resumed all surgical procedures, one day after re-scheduling or re-assigning some surgeries due to a sterilization concern.
"The discoloration was attributed to natural elements found in the water used in the sterilization process and poses no risk to our patients. All previously canceled procedures are being rescheduled," the hospital wrote in a statement.
In a statement provided to 2 On Your Side, the hospital says a discoloration on white tray liners in some sterilization packages was noticed during routine quality reviews.
