ROYALTON, NY-A number of sheep and chickens were lost following a barn fire Thursday morning in the Town of Royalton.
Volunteer firefighters from Rapids, Wolcottsville and Terry's Corners arrived to find the large two story structure on Riddle Road in flames. The fire also spread to other outbuildings nearby.
A resident of the farm managed to rescue a horse and donkey.
The Niagara County Origin and Cause Team is working to try and find out how the fire started.
