BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres can play more than just hockey. On Monday night, a few players traded in their hockey pucks for lasers and skee-balls.
Sabres teammates Dennis Gilbert, Ryan McLeod and Jack Quinn joined kids from Courage of Carly for a night at LASERTRON in Amherst.
Everyone was able to play games together and spread cheer and positivity.
"It's pretty cool the effect that we can have on some of these kids. And you said, you can feel the positive energy in here and kids are having a blast so far," Quinn said.
"It's a little bit of time but what the kids get out of it and how much fun they can have you know they have good days and bad days so hopefully this can be one of those better ones," Gilbert said.
The Courage of Carly Fund raises money for Roswell Park to help children who are fighting cancer and blood disorder. More information on the fund, visit their website here.
