BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Red Cross is assisting seven people after a fire tore through a Buffalo building on Wednesday.
The Buffalo Fire Department arrived at the scene at 22 Gibson Street, near William Street and Fillmore Avenue, shortly past 2 p.m. Wednesday. Department officials said the fire started on the first floor of the residential building.
The fire caused an estimated $280,000 in damages, officials said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
