BUFFALO, N.Y. — Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson has teamed up again with local Buffalo-based talent to write his fourth children's book.
The new book titled "Eric Wood Center on What's Good" is an inspiring children's story based on Johnson's former teammate.
Johnson teamed up again with Buffalo-based author Charlie Roberts and illustrator Zachary McCabe for the book.
“I'm thrilled to have partnered with Charlie and Zack to bring these stories to life,” Johnson said. “When I played alongside guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Fred Jackson and Eric Wood, we always pushed each other to be our best. The life lessons we learned are incredibly valuable, and I’m grateful for the chance to share them with the next generation.”
Wood, Johnson, Roberts, and McCabe will celebrate the launch with a book signing event from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Resurgence Brewing. Books will be available for $14.99 and guests can get one piece of merchandise signed. Although its held at a brewery, the book signing is still a family-friendly event and will include kid activities like face painting. A portion of the proceeds from the signing will go to the Evan Wood Fund at Oishei Children’s Hospital.
Previous books in the series include “There’s Always a Way with Stevie J!”, “Freddy J Makes his Play” and “The Legend of FitzMagic, Mr. Nomadic.” The first three books are available through ImagineWePublishers.com, and the latest release can be purchased for preorder on Amazon.
