AMHERST, N.Y. - A house fire caused heavy black smoke and explosions in Amherst Saturday night.
The fire happened on Sagewood Terrace, between Maple Road and Sheridan Drive just before 8 p.m. Saturday.
A garage fire that spread into the home caused the explosions.
Amherst Fire confirmed that everyone in the home was evacuated and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
