GRAND ISLAND, NY — An accident involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer snarled traffic on the North Grand Island Bridge Sunday afternoon.
It happened at 2:50 p.m. The accident closed the right, southbound lane. It has since reopened.
According to the Grand Island Fire Company, drivers of each vehicle were evaluated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck refused transportation to the hospital, while the driver of the semi-truck was taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital for treatment for a head laceration.
