BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two homes are total losses after an early morning fire on Buffalo's east side.
Crews worked to put out the flames in neighboring homes at the intersection of Chester Street and East Ferry Street.
The fire started early Friday morning, just after 5 a.m.
Fire officials at the scene said that both homes were empty at the time of the fire, and one appeared to be vacant.
Crews will remain on the scene this morning as they investigate how and where the fire started.
