BUFFALO, NY-- The man accused of opening fire outside a Dollar General store in Cheektowaga was arraigned Wednesday on a grand jury indictment.
Travis Green, 29, of Cheektowaga, is charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
Investigators say that Green entered the store last November to request an employment application when he became irate and left the store. He then fired approximately 20 rounds with AR-15 rifle at the store from the parking lot. John Schaeffer, 53, an innocent bystander, was shot in the shoulder.
Green is being held without bail. His next court date is in March.
