BLASDELL, NY - Local volunteer firefighters and EMT's warmed up their voices - and hearts Monday night, bringing Christmas cheer to the community.
The group caroled through Blasdell neighborhoods for about an hour or two, decked out in uniform, singing Christmas songs and meeting residents along the way.
"It's better for us to get to know our potential patients and the people that we're rescuing, and for them to get to know us, so in case, you know, there is an emergency situation, they're a little more at ease when we pull up," said one firefighter.
