Sonic Drive-In coming soon to the City of Buffalo

This will be the second Sonic location in Western New York.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Sonic Drive-In will be coming to the City of Buffalo, specifically the corner of Hertel and Elmwood avenues. This will be the second Sonic location in Western New York.

Kevin DiPirro, local Sonic franchise rightsholder, has signed a lease with Uniland Development Co. to build the restaurant in Buffalo's Black Rock neighborhood.

The new eatery will seat about 85 people indoors, and will also have drive-up and drive-thru service.

The franchise initially planned to open its second location on Transit Road in Amherst, but experienced a number of complications there.
